Later on the Cross he was the only one to pray this prayer...."Forgive them for they know not what they do..." EVEN THOUGH CAIAPHAS KNEW THAT THE SACRIFICE OF ONE WOULD SAVE THE JEWISH NATION... Christ knew that to pray for His enemies was salvation for them and they couldn't possibly UNDERSTAND what they had done.... because UNDERSTANDING IS TO TURN FROM EVIL... so you see... you can connect things you learn from the bible through the gifts of by the Holy Spirit's guidance.
